MR can deliver alternative TPI solutions within the MR product portfolio. I The reason for an INCON 1292(KS) synchro transmitter was originally to have tap position forwarded to SCADA and/or displayed at a remote point such as the Transformer control cabinet or the control room. I >50 years ago (and still today) 3rd party AVRs (for controlling the voltage and raise/lower the tap changer) couldn‘t display or make use of the direct tap position input for voltage regulation purposes from the motor drive. I The outdated technology of the INCON displays and transmitters causes meanwhile delays for transformer deliveries and OLTCs with motor drives, so a long term well established direct tap position input and display is required to make tap position signal usage easier, faster, more reliable and economic!
