COURSE CONTENTS: Notion and Classification of Rights: Natural, Moral and Legal Rights Three Generations of Human Rights (Civil and Political Rights; Economic, Social and Cultural Rights; Collective/Solidarity Rights). Evolution ofthe Concept ofHuman Rights- Journey from Magna Carta to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. (15 Hours) International Bill of Rights, International Obligation to Protect Human Rights - The Role of the UN Security Council and Other International Organizations National Obligation to Protect Human Rights - Indian Constitutional provisions, The Protection of Human Rights Act 1995, Role of NHRC and SHRC.
