**LAPTOPS** Gaming Laptops have higher specs than regular laptops, as they have graphics cards that regular laptops don't have. Gaming laptops also look chunkier and bulkier than regular laptops, as they have fans or a built-in cooling system. Familiarize yourselves with the brand logos of Gaming Laptops that we often buy: ![](media/image19.png) ![](media/image23.png) ![](media/image16.png) Most of the time, we price-check these laptops to determine their value as these laptops vary in price depending on their specs and series. Just like in other devices the higher the specs the higher the value. If you see a laptop with an Intel i3 Processor, discard it automatically as these laptops are cheap. You can see the sticker of the processor near the trackpad of every laptop along with Nvidia stickers of the graphics card. ![](media/image13.png)![](media/image2.png) When you see these Intel Core i3 stickers, Ignore or Discard the listing. Another kind of laptop that we do not purchase is the Chromebook laptop, usually, these Chromebook laptops have a Chrome logo at the top part of the laptop or the seller indicates that it is a Chrome laptop in the title. These Chrome laptops are cheap and cost almost next to nothing. ![](media/image20.png) ![](media/image8.png) Here are some images of Chrome/Chromebook laptops that we discard. Specs (specifications) are powerful when it comes to laptops as they can increase or drop the value of the laptop. How can we identify the specs of a laptop? - - - You should know that the complete specs ( Processor, RAM, Storage Capacity, and Graphics Card ) of a laptop are available in the settings. There are times when sellers just upload a few pictures of the laptop and those pictures are not enough to identify the specs and exact model of the laptop and they do not include any details about the laptop. We can directly ask the seller, "What are the specs of this laptop ( Processor, RAM, Storage)?" or "May I know the specs of this laptop?". Most of the time seller knows the specifications of the laptop and answers your question/s instantly. Then you can proceed with price-checking the laptop and engaging and negotiating with the seller. Another way to check the specs of the laptop is through picture checking. If the seller uploaded a picture of the settings and the laptop being open we can determine the specs just by looking thoroughly at the pictures. As you can see just on this picture alone we can already identify that this is a Gaming laptop from Dell. The model name is Dell G16, the processor is Intel Core i7 and it has a sticker of Nvidia RTX indicating that the laptop has a graphics card. With just that information alone we can quickly check eBay for the price, searching "Dell G16 i7" on eBay will give you results of \$600-\$800 prices vary depending on the other Specs. We can continue to ask the seller about the other specs specifically the RAM and Storage capacity or we can make a low offer based on the lowest price applicable and if the seller declines then we can continue to ask questions about the missing spec. There are times when sellers upload laptops inside the boxes and the majority of the time when they do include the box the exact model and specifications of the laptop are included just like in this example. Zoom in to read the available details from the box. The Brand, Model name, Processor, Storage Capacity, and Memory (RAM) are all present on the side of the box and this information is enough to get the market value of the device. ![](media/image17.png) If you see an Nvidia GE Force sticker on the laptop know that it is a gaming laptop and it is expensive. If the gamer laptop is priced at \$500 we should price checked the laptop. ![](media/image21.png)![](media/image10.png) Here are some Nvidia GeForce RTX stickers for your reference. There are times when sellers upload pictures of the settings. Like this one In this particular image of the settings, we can identify the model, the processor, and the RAM. As you can see the device model is G3 3500. The installed RAM is 16GB and the processor is Intel Core i7. Just with these details alone you can go ahead and price check it on eBay. The model number is also available on the back of the laptops. There are a lot of laptops that have different series or a lot of sub-variants. There are times when the result in eBay varies a lot you need to be specific to get the correct value. For example, Lenovo Thinkpads there are cheap Thinkpads and there are expensive ones therefore having the model number would help you sort out the pricing issue. ![](media/image11.png) The most common graphic card you\'ll encounter is GE Force 1660, and it\'s more correlated with the Intel Core i5. Graphics cards under 1000 like 970, and 760 are the cheapest and the selling price is around 300. If it is posted for more than \$250 discard it. The GE RTX 2070 has a medium fair value. When the laptop has a processor of Intel Core i5 and asks for \$300-\$500, you shouldn't price check as this laptop costs around \$400-\$500. If the laptop has an i7 processor and has RTX will cost around \$600-\$1000. If the laptop has an i9 processor and has RTX, the laptop will cost around \$800-\$1000. We also buy laptops with Ryzen Processors. Discard the Ryzen 3 as it was cheap. Ryzen 5 has a fair value but it is much better if we have Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9. Note: Do note that the is no such thing as a custom-built laptop, these laptops are made in the factory that way. 8GB of RAM means that the laptop is cheap and not gonna be worth that much. 4GB of RAM, discard. If the laptop has 8GB of RAM, not worth that much so discard it. Focus on 16GB and up RAM. 2-in-1 laptops are also worth price-checking. 2-in-1 laptops are the ones that are foldable the other way and be used as tablets as well. These laptops are part of the newest design on laptops and were released not too long ago and still have a good value on them. Here is an example: ![](media/image4.png) This 2-in-1 laptop is the Dell Latitude 943. This laptop costs \$500 and up (Market Price) depending on the specs. **SUMMARY:** - - - - - - - - - Note: For a laptop that sells for \$1500-\$1600 on eBay, our best offer and maximum offer is \$1000.
