GAME ZONE TRAINING CHECKLIST EMPLOYEE NAME: _________________________________________ DATE: ____/_____/_____ TRAINER: _____________________________________ DATE: ____/____/_____ Initial each section when training is complete Employee GZ Cards – (Briar, Aaron, only) Issue employees their GZ card and set appropriate permissions on the card. Show employee how card works for redemption (each employee should be logging in using their own GZ card, MOD & Management only can approve borrow or comp) Explain the different functions they will use their card for. Explain to employees the Game Zone checklist, where they are, how they work. (Does employee have any questions) Employee ________ Trainer _________ Redemption— (Trainer) Show employees how the scanner works, show the different scanners and which are attached to which computer. (Make sure employee is logging in using their own GZ card) Explain the point system. Explain how the point rings work, how to redeem them and add points to customer’s card. Show employees how cards and chips work (wizard of oz/willy Wonka) show them kiosk for cards and chips and how it works. (only authorized individuals can open the machine) Show employee where all the prizes are kept (IE, plush and other items in back room, candy etc.) Show employees how things are stored and when they need to be stocked. (Always keep full) Explain cleaning procedures for redemption area. (Where cleaner and rags are located.) Show where bags are located for customers’ prizes. Show where keys are located, explain what keys are for and where they are for. Show employees where the remotes are located. Explain the points tv and the seating area tv’s Show employees the kiosk and how they work. (Does employee have any questions) Employee ________ Trainer _________ Cleaning – (Trainer) Show employees the checklist and explain how it works. Make sure they know it must be dated, completed, and turned in, failure to complete, date and turn in will result in points. Show employee how to clean each machine (IE, cleaning the glass, dusting the machine, touch points, clean under machine, make sure they are free of trash and wrappers) Show employee bathroom cleaning schedule on the checklist. Show how bathrooms are cleaned and where supplies for bathrooms are located. (This is very important and must be done throughout each shift) Explain how the seating area is cleaned and what to look for. (Does employee have any questions) Employee ________ Trainer _________ GAME ZONE TRAINING CHECKLIST GAMES – (Trainer) Explain the games (IE; basic function of the games) Explain most common breaks and basic fixes for each game Explain how to put each game out of service as well as putting them back into service. Go over how to clean each machine again. Points to pay attention to (glass, touch points) Make sure to log any issues with games on the Game Zone Incident Log for Game Zone Technician to review the next day. (Does employee have any questions) Employee ________ Trainer _________ LASER TAG – (Trainer) Do a full tour of Laser Tag. (Start where customer enters into Laser Tag and continue all the way through. Explain how each section works and the functions that happen at each section.) (Do the full tour before moving forward with any further Laser Tag training) Show employees how to turn on Laser Tag. (Remember to explain what lighting to choose on 2nd computer) Go through how to set up a game and the different game modes we use. Explain each game mode. Go through the briefing video with employee. Explain how to start the video including turning on the sound bar and how to start the safety video. Explain how to turn on the vests. Explain how the vests are hung up and how they charge. Show them the difference between the vests that are charging and ones that are not so they can tell the difference between them. Explain how to reset the vest. Show employees how to reset the vest and explain what some of the causes to reset are and why it happens. Walk employee through vesting up. Have employees put a vest on and show them how to take a picture and how to pick an avatar. Walk employees into laser tag and show them how the vest and gun work inside the arena. Show them the different targets and explain how the different targets work. Make sure they are aware of exit door locations and emergency procedures should you have to evacuate Laser Tag for any reason. Explain how to put a vest out of service and how to report it so that Game Zone Technician can look into the vest and get it fixed. Go through Laser Tag cleaning procedures. (What gets cleaned, what chemicals can be used and what can’t,) Show employees what to do if Laser Tag door gets locked accidentally from the inside of the arena. Show where the keys are located, and which key unlocks the arena. (Does employee have any questions) Employee ________ Trainer _________ GAME ZONE TRAINING CHECKLIST SHUTTING DOWN GAME ZONE— (Trainer) Shut down Laser Tag when MOD gives the ok. (Always verify with MOD before shutting down.) Make sure all vests are hung up properly. Log any issues on the Game Zone Incident Log. Make sure all customers are out of Game Zone Turn off all breakers for games in the Laser Tag control room. Walk through Game Zone and make sure all glasses and dishes are returned to bar and Snack Bar. Check all games and make sure there is no trash or spills on games. Check under games for trash also. Clean all glass and touch points Make sure redemption is stocked for the next day. Clean the glass of the redemption counter. Put doors in place on redemption counter. Turn lights out on redemption counter. Make sure Game Zone Incident Log is filled out. If there are no issues on any games that night make note of it on the log sheet. Have the MOD check out Game Zone.
