The Ayutthaya** With the fall of the Pagan kingdom, Ayutthaya reigned in what is now Thailand. The kingdom of Ayutthaya was founded by U Thong who came from the ranks of Chinese merchants and used the title Ramathibodi. The kingdom of Ayutthaya fell to constant warfare with the Burmese in the 18th century. **VI. Summary:** Funan was a kingdom established in present- day Cambodia around the first century. Ayutthaya was founded in the late 13th century in present- day Thailand. Theravada Buddhisn flourished in the kingdom. The construction of Buddhist temples is considered the heritage of the kingdom.
