Welcome to The Learn to Play Golf Experience Day Overview training module. In this course, we will start by giving you a general overview of the Golf Experience Days, who they should be targeted at, the recommended structure and the output of the program. After this we will explore how to schedule and price the Experience Days to make them a success. The next key factor to explore will be how to run an experience day and we will focus on the flow of the day and how they can be delivered to ensure a great student experience is created. Following on from this will be a look at the implementation steps of the experience day and how it can be used to expand your Learn to Play program. Finally we will outline the next steps you need to take to continue your training journey. A Golf Experience provides new golfers with the opportunity to try golf in a safe, fun environment with other people who are at the same stage of their golfing journey. Golf Experiences are designed to drive new golfers into your 3 Level Learn to Play Golf Program. The frequency of events will depend on when your program is running and the number and type of new golfers you aim to convert. They are delivered in groups, with a maximum of 6 participants. This will provide opportunity to socially integrate new golfers into the club and know that they are on the journey with others of a similar ability. The Experiences can be delivered over 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 3 hours, depending on the needs of you and your club. Participants will have the opportunity to learn some of the skills they will need to play golf. Crucially, they will also have the opportunity to play on the golf course in a fun team scramble, providing them with a taste of the real game of golf. You are recommended to charge at a one-off event price. The fee will depend on your customer demographic and the coaching rate of the club. This fee should include all equipment and access to the golf course. These Experiences are designed to provide participants with an opportunity to learn all aspects of the game and to experience playing golf on the course in a fun team scramble format. Finally, the Experiences are tailored for new golfers with little or no prior experience in the game, ensuring that participants are at the same stage of their golfing journey. The Golf Experience Days aim to provide a great way to convert more customers and non-golfing members into the 3 Level Learn to Play Golf Program. Therefore, the structure of the Golf Experience event has been designed with this aim in mind A Golf Experience will be the first taste of golf for many participants. Therefore, delivering a welcoming and friendly environment will put them at ease. Through this positive experience, they will be more likely to convert into future programming you offer. The purpose of the Golf Experience is not to provide extensive technical instruction. Instead, aim to keep your Experience Day fun and highlight the moments that will keep your customers coming back for more. Keeping the Golf Experience social and informal will help foster friendships among participants. The games-based structure will encourage collaboration, and the friendships formed will motivate the group to progress to the next stage of learning together. The Golf Experience will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase your coaching, the available facilities, and offer insight into life at the club. The nature of the event, its duration, and the informal environment provide an ideal opportunity to get to know each customer and build a relationship with them. This builds trust, openness, confidence, and develops ongoing relationships. At the end of the Experience Day, you will have all the information you need. You can then direct the students to either the Learn to Play Golf Program or Private Lesson Programs in Phase 3 of the Coaching Pathway. Additionally, you can outline how the Social Programs can complement their experience. The Golf Experience Days are designed to engage and convert new golfers into your coaching offerings and club activities. Therefore, it is vital that your marketing activities and conversations are targeted towards capturing interest in those suited to the events. You should try to target the experience days towards current members, their families, and their friendship circles at your club. This is vital for engaging new customers and reinforcing your club\'s value proposition to current members, which, in turn, will reflect positively on the value you are offering. Secondly, you should aim to reach, activate, and inspire members from other sections of your club to begin playing golf, learn the game, and ultimately acquire the tools they need to upgrade their membership. Third and finally, the experience days will be attractive to new golfers in your local community, even those without any prior connection to the club. This initiative will help drive new membership growth, expand your reach in the local area, and inspire participants to encourage their golfing connections to join in. Golf Experiences can be tailored to accommodate durations of 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 3 hours based on the needs of you and your club. While the specific content of each option may vary, every experience day event should afford attendees the opportunity to learn every aspect of the game, receive an introduction to the golf course, and forge new social connections. The first duration option is a 60-minute Golf Experience, which includes learning around the green, on the green, and swing skills, as well as a fun course walk on a single hole. There is a 90-minute Golf Experience option, which includes learning around the green, on the green, swing skills, as well as playing a single hole on the golf course in a fun scramble format. Lastly, is the 180-minute Golf Experience, which includes learning around the green, on the green, and swing skills, along with 60 minutes of on-course time in a fun scramble format. Ultimately, the Experience Days serve as an opportunity to promote programs within Phase 3 of the Coaching Pathway. Participants are encouraged to enroll in the 3 Level Learn to Play Golf Program or, where appropriate, Private Lessons programs. Those in the Learn to Play Golf Program can further supplement their learning by attending a range of Adult Social Group Coaching sessions. You are the expert guide on the journey of each participant and they will be looking to you for the answer to, "so, what next?" Be bold but authentic. Suggest the next step for them to ultimately help them enjoy the game, engage in your activity and become engaged at your club. We understand that each club and coaching business is unique in terms of access to facilities and the size of the coaching team, which may influence the size and frequency of Golf Experience Days you can offer. However, there are some crucial scheduling recommendations we have to ensure the success of the programs. Since Golf Experience Days aim to drive new participants into your 3 Level program, it\'s essential to schedule events in alignment with these program opportunities at your club. Make sure to consider accessibility for participants when scheduling your Golf Experience Days, consider aligning them directly with the days when your Level 1 program classes are running to maximise conversion rates. The Golf Experiences can be delivered over durations of 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 3 hours, depending on the needs of your business and club. The supporting resources and pricing model have been designed with this flexibility in mind, so it\'s important to adhere to these durations when scheduling your events. Flexibility is key for you. To make your Golf Experiences a success, you will need to decide on the frequency and total number of experiences you offer, the number of participants that can attend and the time and day you run the Golf Experiences. Finally, all Golf Experience events should be scheduled and bookings processed through your GLF Connect system. This will ensure that you can add value to the customers experience, track your events sign ups, engage with participants and measure the events success. As Golf Experiences are intended to drive new participants into your 3 Level Learn to Play Golf program, event scheduling should align with the themed class opportunities within Level 1 of the program at your club. To ensure the success of these experiences and their impact on your program, there must be a clear next step for participants following the event. In this example the Introduction Themed Classes at Level 1 are scheduled on Saturday's at 3pm. Therefore, the Two Experience Days are scheduled in the previous month to drive participation into the program. All Golf Experience events should be scheduled and bookings processed through your GLF Connect system. A program booking filter has been created for you on your system and the GLF Connect Support Team has built a range of training material to help you schedule the event correctly The Experience Day Event should be directly linked to the Learn to Play Golf Program and categorized under the Learn to Play Golf Program filter. The sub-filter \'Experience Day\' should be utilized when setting up your class. Further training and support are available from the GLF Connect support team to assist you in setting up your event correctly. A specific training video is also available within the Scheduling section on the Coaches Toolbox Golf Experience Day page. The price of your Golf Experience Day will vary based on a number of factors specific to your coaching business and club, including the duration you decide to offer. It\'s important to consider that Golf Experiences are designed to engage new golfers and should serve as a gateway into your programs. When running your golf experience event, firstly consider that it\'s important to ensure you earn your hourly coaching rate regardless of the number of participants who sign up. Next, you must decide the event duration you are offering and ensure that the price you set covers your hourly rate for the minimum number of participants required to attend for the event to run. We recommend setting a minimum of 2 participants to run your event. Calculate the hourly rate for the event based on splitting this cost across the 2 participants. Additionally, clearly outline this minimum number in your marketing terms and conditions. Finally, ensure to add any extras, such as charges for golf course access, equipment, golf balls, prizes, or food and beverages, to the per person price. After considering all these factors during your calculations, you should have determined a suitable total price for the Experience Day. The Golf Experience is all about inspiring new golfers to fall in love with the game. We want them to leave the event having developed a love for the game and a level of confidence being at the club. Participants should leave knowing the steps they need to take to become a golfer and full member at your club. The day is also about experiencing all parts of the game and what they will learn on the 3 Level Program. The Day starts by welcoming your participants. Outline the flow of the event, explain the aim of the game of golf, and set expectations for learning the game. The next part of the day is Swing tuition. Head to the driving range to introduce the different clubs used, help them develop their fundamentals and understand strike, as well as how to control direction and distance. After this, head to your putting green and short game area to introduce chipping and putting skills. This is a great opportunity to engage in fun team-based games across these skills and develop participants\' fundamentals. You will give your participants a real sense of the game by heading to the course for a fun team scramble, using your adapted golf course to ensure the experience is developmentally appropriate. Make sure to walk a hole with your participants during the 60-minute event. Finally, bring your event to a close with a short prize presentation and take the opportunity to engage with participants on their next steps to becoming a golfer. You have the flexibility to schedule your Golf Experience Day at a time and date to suit your business and club. Golf Experiences are recommended to run for 3 hours, 90 minutes, or 60 minutes. All these durations provide enough time to cover all elements. Consider access to the course at your club to enable you to run the Fun On Course Scramble element, which is crucial to the success of the day and the experience of your participants. To assist you in planning and executing your Experience Day, you can access downloadable event plans through the Coaches Toolbox on the Golf Experience Event page. You can view these plans via the Hub or download them to your device for all event durations. There are a number of helpful features included within the events plans One section of the event plan will provide you with recommendations on how to layout each part of your event to ensure it is conducted safely and the learning outcomes are delivered. Within each Experience Day Event Plan, the specific equipment required will be listed in order to deliver the session.. The timetable part of the plan provides you with an overview of what is delivered in the event and how the event is broken down across the duration. You will be able to access technical guidance for each part of the Experience Day event. This will assist you in providing technical support to your group across each of the skill areas. Each class plan includes game cards that participants can attempt with a partner during the event to add an engaging, fun and competitive element to the event. Golf Experiences provide access to the golf course in a fun team-based format and the event plan includes a guideline of how to run the On Course Team Scramble. The event plans include ideas for what you can cover during the event relating to the Whole Golfer Learning outcome, which is central to the Learn to Play Golf Program. Finally, you will be able to explore elements of the Learning the Game learning outcome within your event, along with ideas for what to cover. The success of the Golf Experiences and the conversions from the event into your Learn to Play Golf program will be driven by the participants\' experience on the day. We aim to provide you with all the tools you need to make it a success, but you have a critical role to play in delivering a great experience for those who attend. These days are all about creating memorable positive experiences for the participants, to inspire them to sign up to the Learn to Play Golf program, engage in club activities and membership. Don't get too focused on improving technique. Keep the day lighthearted and fun! Nothing will jeopardize the success of the day more than a perception that the environment isn't safe. Always keep this in mind to create a sense that activities at the club are delivered with the welfare of participants in mind. Remember that there may be a range of ages, abilities, and experiences among those attending your Golf Experience. Therefore, ensure that the flow of the day is as inclusive as possible for all participants. Focus on creating a supportive atmosphere with teamwork at its heart. Preparation will be key to the successful delivery of your event. Not only will this help you enjoy the event, but it will also create a great image of you and your club. Additionally, make sure you have all the information you need to convert participants into your Learn to Play Golf program. These events serve as a shop window for participants into life at your club and on your coaching programs. Strive to ensure that all involved create an environment and atmosphere that allows the participants to be confident and comfortable at the club. At any time when participants get to interact with one another, you play a crucial role in helping to drive connections between individuals and open up these opportunities outside of the program. Ultimately, the participant will want to feel a sense of achievement and enjoyment while playing the game. You need to ignite their enthusiasm and passion to learn by helping them develop their skills. This will help convert them into your Learn to Play Golf program. The Experience Day is designed to drive new participants into your Learn to Play Golf Program, and therefore, the implementation of your Experience Day should run in partnership with the Learn to Play Golf Program.
