JOHNS COUNTY FIRE RESCUE 3657 Gaines Road St. Augustine, Florida 32084-6565 I N T E R O F F I C E M E M O R A N D U M TO: Fire Rescue Personnel FROM: Engineer Promotional Board SUBJECT: Engineer Test Announcement DATE: February 22, 2024 In accordance with Article 9: Promotion of the Collective Bargaining Agreement: Rank and File (CBA), the examination for the position of Engineer will be administered on June 18, 2024, in the Fire HQ Multipurpose room. The exam will consist of 100 multiple choice questions. Testing will commence promptly at 0900 hours and will cease at 1200 hours. Once scoring is complete, one hour will be allowed for review and to prepare for any challenge to questions. No phones or recording devices of any type are allowed into the testing venue. Discovery of these items may result in dismissal from the process and potential disciplinary action. Requests for ADA accommodation must be submitted in writing to Ann Ashworth at Human Resources, no later than May 29, 2024. This test will run in accordance with the requirements contained in Article 9. The following materials must be electronically uploaded through our Career Page (full link below) 14 business days prior to the test, no later than 2359 hours, May 29, 2024: Letter of intent Resume Florida State Certified Pump Operator certificate Florida State Certified EMT or Paramedic certificate Building Construction certificate Tactics and Strategies 1 certificate SJCFR Engineer Handbook certificate Copy of college degree (if applicable) Veteran’s Preference Supporting Document (if applicable) The applicant is solely responsible for uploading all required materials. Once the test is announced, the testing material shall not be changed or amended.
