§ -10 mins – SCC makes reduced announcement only (seatbelts, safety
brace position, exits)

o Return to Crew Seat - Silent Review and Brace Position
Silent Review:
§ O - Operation of Exits: Understand how to open and operate the assigned
emergency exit.
§ L - Location of Emergency Equipment: Know where safety and
emergency equipment is stored in your area.
§ D - Drill: Mentally rehearse emergency procedures and steps to follow.
§ A - ABP and Disabled Pax: Identify Able-Bodied Passengers (ABPs) to
assist and know the location of disabled passengers who may need help.
§ B - Brace Position: Be ready to assume the proper brace position during
takeoff or landing.
§ C - Commands: Prepare the verbal commands to give passengers in an
emergency situation.
o Time permitting (if Secure before hearing):
§ 2L-SCC: “Secure”
§ SCC-FD: “Cabin Ready for Arrival”
- “BRACE BRACE BRACE” (~20 secs to impact)
- “BRACE BRACE BRACE. HEADS DOWN, STAY DOWN” x3
- “ATTENTION, ALL PASSENGERS REMAIN SEATED” – After the aircraft has stopped
- “REMAIN SEATED”
§ Check each assigned exit – outside & inside conditions
§ Await CPT commands

CC proceed to assigned exits
Chceck outside and inside conditions
1L: Fit life jacket
Check door is safe to open
Move raft to 1L door with help of ABP
Secure mooring line to suitable anchor point and launch raft
Ensure correct inflation
ABP boards raft and holds it near aircraft for PAX boarding
Grasp assist handle
Order evacuation
1R: Fit life jacket
Check door is safe to open
Move raft to 1R door with help of ABP
Open door 1R and detach the slide
Secure mooring line to suitable anchor point and launch raft
Ensure correct inflation
ABP or FO boards raft and holds it near aircraft for PAX boarding
Grasp assist handle
Order evacuation
2L: Fits life jacket
Do not open doors 2L
Block the exit
2R: Fit life jacket
Proceed to overwing exits
Direct ABP to move rafts to overwing exits
Check the opening of all overwing exits
Instruct ABP to attach lifelines to fittings on wings
Secure mooring lines to a suitable anchor point
Launch rafts
Ensure correct inflation
ABP will board the rafts and hold it close to the wings so PAX can board
Order Evacuation
- Take 5:
o CC – Announce Equipment collected
§ Flashlight
§ Megaphone
§ FAK
§ EMK
§ ELT
o FO
§ NOTOC
§ Load Sheet
§ Flashlight
o CPT
§ Flashlight
§ Leave at 2L
