Do not shift without confirming the following details: terminals, products, quantities, and destinations of the load requirement. 2. Enter terminal slowly, following posted instructions throughout the terminal. Each terminal has their own rules and regulations, which are explained in detail during the Terminal Carding Process. Signal your arrival in the desired terminal using the ASR driver app. 3. Stop at “Stop Line”, before entering the terminal rack. Turn off all electronics. 4. Check for spills or other issues at the rack before entering. Report any defects. 5. Select appropriate terminal rack for products & accounts desired. Put on required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). 6. While at “Stop Line”, exit the tractor cab using a three point stance. 7. Visually inspect tractor and trailer for defects. Do not enter the terminal rack with any defects. 8. Re-enter the truck cab using three point stance. 9. Pull into the terminal rack slowly – watch for overhead obstructions. Park the truck at the designated location. Shut off engine and all electronics. NEVER BACK UP ONCE UNDER THE TERMINAL RACK. Exit the truck cab using three point stance. 10. Never use your cell phone under the trailer loading rack. The terminal will suspend anyone caught using a cell phone. 11. Ensure all internal trailer valves are closed. 12. Double check that the last product on the trailer is compatible with the product being loaded. 13. The trailer must be EMPTY before proceeding with loading any product. 14. Release the brake interlock bar and visually inspect for any defects. 15. Connect the scully cable to the trailer and then the independent ground if there is one present. 16. Inspect the vapor recovery hose and ensure that it is clear and the gaskets are good. Connect it to the trailer. 17. Remove the dust covers from the bottom loading heads. 18. Check the products to be loaded and set the product markers on the trailer accordingly. 19. Connect the terminal rack loading arms to the loading heads of the trailer. Make sure to keep your body centered behind the loading arm as much as possible. 20. Double check the loading arm identification and make sure it matches the desired product. 21. Open the internal trailer valves. 22. Enter the correct information into the terminal rack computer. Take great care to properly enter the correct account number from which product is pulled, the correct FLEET TRANSIT, Inc. 3400 Fairfield Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21226 (410) 355-7910 product type, the correct product quantity and the correct state destination. This step is critical! 23. The information entered into the computer must match exactly as the information provided on your loading instructions. Notify dispatch immediately if there are any discrepancies. 24. Program the amount of gallons to be loaded into each trailer compartment. 25. Triple check all the settings before hitting the start button. This step is vital! 26. Start product flow and watch for any leaks. 27. Remain at the trailer rack controls throughout the entire loading process. 28. Repeat this process for all products request by the customer. Double and triple checking before hitting the start button. Immediately report any malfunction to the terminal operator. 29. Monitor the loading process. Do not overfill. Do not spill. 30. Confirm that the gallons loaded match the desired quantities by the customer. 31. Close all trailer internal valves. Disconnect and properly stow away all loading arms. 32. Replace and secure the dust covers on all trailer loading heads. 33. Disconnect and properly stow the vapor recovery hose. 34. Disconnect and sow the scully cable and independent ground (if there is one). 35. Walk around the unit and visually inspect the area before moving the truck. 36. Slowly pull out from the trailer rack and park in designated area. Exit the truck using three point stance. 37. Go inside the terminal office to retrieve the Bill of Lading. Inspect and make sure everything is correct. 38. Enter the truck cab using three point stance. Use the ASR driver app to enter the gallons loaded and BOL number. 39. Exit the terminal slowly – remembering to buckle up and stay off the cell phone.
