Answer: God’s personal name is "Allah." It refers to the Being who encompasses all attributes of perfection and is free from any defects. This divine name is used exclusively for Him. Question: How many names of Allah the Almighty are mentioned in the Holy Qur'an? Answer: There are 104 attributive names mentioned, such as Ar-Rahman (the Most Gracious), Ar-Rahim (the Most Merciful), Al-Hayy (the Ever-Living), Al-Qayyum (the Sustainer). However, it is unanimously agreed that the Qur'an is exactly the same from Bismillah to An-Nas as it was revealed to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Question: Provide a brief explanation about the compilation and arrangement of the Holy Qur'an. Answer: The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself compiled the Holy Qur'an under divine revelation, arranging and recording it as revealed. During the caliphate of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), the compiled Qur'an was collected and preserved in a manuscript format by Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a scribe of revelation. Later, during the caliphate of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), copies of this manuscript were made and sent to various Islamic regions, thus spreading the Qur'an across the world. Today, the Qur'an remains in the same form as it was revealed. Answer: ُ ‫ِإﻧﱠﺎ ﻧَْﺤُﻦ ﻧَﱠﺰْﻟﻨَﺎ اﻟِﺬّْﻛَﺮ َوِإﱠن ﻟَﮫُ ﻟََﺤﺎِﻓ‬ ‫ﻈﻮَن‬ (Al-Hijr 15:10) “Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian.” Question: Name the first two and last two surahs (chapters) of the Holy Qur'an. And excellent companions are these.” Death of Jesus (peace be upon him): (Prophet Jesus’ (peace be upon him) own statement) ‫ﻋﻠَْﯿِﮭْﻢ‬ َ ‫ﺐ‬ َ ‫ﺖ أ َﻧ‬ َ ‫ﺖ اﻟﱠﺮِﻗﯿ‬ َ ‫ ﻓَﻠَﱠﻤﺎ ﺗ ََﻮﻓﱠْﯿﺘ َِﻨﻲ ُﻛﻨ‬،‫ﺖ ِﻓﯿِﮭْﻢ‬ َ ‫ﻋﻠَْﯿِﮭْﻢ‬ ُ ‫ﺷِﮭﯿﺪًا ﱠﻣﺎ دُْﻣ‬ ُ ‫ُﻛﻨ‬ َ ‫ﺖ‬ (Al-Ma'idah 5:118) “I was a witness over them as long as I remained among them, but since Thou didst cause me to die, Thou hast been the Watcher over them.” Truthfulness of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him): ‫ أ َﻓََﻼ ﺗ َْﻌِﻘﻠُﻮَن‬،‫ﻋُﻤًﺮا ِ ّﻣْﻦ ﻗَْﺒِﻠِﮫ‬ ُ ْ‫ﻓَﻘَْﺪ ﻟَِﺒﺜ‬ ُ ‫ﺖ ِﻓﯿُﻜْﻢ‬ (Yunus 10:17) “ I have indeed lived among you a whole lifetime before this. Will you not then understand?” The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) states: "Reflect upon the degree of knowledge possessed by the one who invites you unto this movement and the wealth of arguments he presents. You cannot find any fault, falsehood or deception in my previous life, whereby one could have thought that this was merely another one of my habitual lies or deceptions. Who among you can find any fault in my exemplary life? It is the grace of God that he has kept me established upon righteousness from the very outset and this is a proof for those who ponder.” (Tadhkiratush-Shahadatain, Ruhani Khazain, vol. 20, p. 64) Editor of the Newspaper Zamindar, Maulvi Zafar Ali Khan’s father and founder of the Newspaper Zamindar, Munshi Sirajuddin Ahmad wrote about the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him): "We can testify from personal experience that even in his youth, he was a highly righteous and pious man. After work, he would spend all his time studying religious texts. He interacted little with the public. In 1877, we had the honor of being his guest one night in Qadian. Even then, he was so absorbed in worship and devotions that he spoke very little to his guests." (Badr, June 25, 1908, p. 13, column no. 1 and 2) The Newspaper Wakil of Amritsar wrote: "In terms of character, we do not find even a small stain on Mirza Sahib’s mantle. He lived the life of a pure-hearted saint and led a life of piety. In the first fifty years of Mirza Sahib’s life, whether in terms of morals, manners, and commendable traits, or in terms of religious services and defending Islam, he distinguished himself among the Muslims of India, earning an enviable position." (Wakil, May 30, 1908, p. 1, taken from Tareekh-e-Ahmadiyyat, vol. 2, p. 563, new edition) Question: Define the term "Laylatul Qadr."
