We can maximize the use of these natural resources even in the creation of arts, thanks to our artistic inclinations. The local materials available in the area assist us in honing and improving our abilities and talents in generating works of arts that can bring us pride and popularity.** **Contemporary artists have discovered that used bottles, hay, rice stalks, plastic, straw, and other recyclable materials may be used to create artworks. They create artworks from wood, wire, thread, rattan, metal and even leaves. The real artist sees beauty even from the peelings of garlic and corn.** **Some regions or provinces become well-known for their distinctive artworks like "PAHIYAS" in Lucan, Quezon; The decorative and multi-colored lanterns of San Fernando, Pampanga and the wood carving in Paete, Laguna. The artists in these places make use of the most available local materials found in their localities.** **Due to the younger generations\' lack of interest in learning about some art forms, they appear to be dying out. Here are some examples of the following folk arts. [ ]** **[SANIKULAS COOKIE MOLD CARVINGS (PAMPANGA)]** - these are arrowroot cookies that have the image of St. Nicholas molded on it's ergo the name Sanikulas. - St. Nicholas is known as "The Healer" from illnesses. According to legend, if you eat these cookies when you\'re ill, you\'ll recover and get better faster than you would otherwise. - The molds are made of hardwood and are of various sizes and shapes. **[PABALOT OR PASTILLAS WRAPPER (BULACAN)]** - The wrapper was made out of the delicate Japanese paper. The best kind is produced by those who have excellent motor control and competent hands. **[PAGBUBURDA (TAAL, LUMBAN, LAGUNA)]** - It is the art of using a needle and thread to create beautiful stitches on fabric. There are many different kinds of floss, yarn, and fibers that can be used for stitching, as well as a huge variety of stitches. **[SINGKABAN OR BAMBOO ART]** - It is the practice of shaving bamboo into beautiful creation that can be used to decorate homes or arches. - Skilled craftsmen shave off the bamboo layer by layer to create curls and beautiful twirls. **[PUNI OR PALM LEAF FOLDING (BULACAN)]** - It was intended to create toys for children. Additionally, woven baskets, fans, and bags can be created using it. - The most common representation of Puni art is the "Palaspas" we see every Holy Week **Read and answer the following statements.
