Development : 1_Definition : Sustainable development is development that meets ( ‫ ) تلبي‬the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. From Brundtland (1987) 2_ Pillars of 01 sustainable development : * Economic : - Creates job opportunities - Provides safe working conditions that protect workers' health. - ensures to pays the workers. - Offers essential infrastructure (like public transport and renewable energy) at affordable prices. *Social : A socially equitable world is one that : -reduces social inequalities between human beings. -gives everyone access to healthcare. -guarantees ‫ يضمن‬human rights. *Environmental : -protects arable land. -reduces deforestation. -respects and protects biodiversity and ecosystems. -avoids the use of products that are dangerous to the environment and human health. _ Sustainable development requires: Being bearable, viable, equitable. _Sustainable development must be: Economically efficient Ecologically tolerable Socially equitable 3_Sustainable development in Brundtland Report: _ worrying for the impact of current (‫) الحالي‬human activity on future generations. _Environmental protection, through the effective use of natural resources and the reduce of using the pesticide (‫المبيدات‬ _Quality of life: everyone must be able to meet (‫( تلبية‬their needs, especially their basic needs. _economic development must take account ( ‫ (أخذ إعتبار‬of environmental protection. 3_Sustainable development in Algeria : -Algeria's first laws on sustainable development date from the 1990s. - The High Council for the Environment was created in 1994 wich is responsible for defining the main strategies for environmental protection and monitoring (‫ )رصد‬the state of the environment in Algeria. - The National Observatory )‫(المرصد الوطني‬for the Environment and Sustainable Development was established in 2002. - In 2002 and 2003, laws were passed for the creation of environmentally friendly new towns also for regulate fishing and tourism. -Recently, the Ministry of Water Resources and Environment announced a National Action Plan for the Environment and Sustainable Development. 4_ the 17 goals : _No poverty , _zero hunger , _ good health and well-being , _ Quality education, _ gender equality , _ clean water and sanitation, _ affordable and clean energy, _ decent work and economic growth, _ industry and innovation and infrastructure, _ reduces inequalities, _ Sustainable cities and communities, _ responsible consumption and production, _ climate action, _ life below water , _ life on land, _ peace-justice and strong instclimates, _ partnership for the goals.
