Scroll bars OBJECTIVES ❑Define what a slide is. ❑Identify the basic parts of a slide. ❑Know how to insert a slide. A slide contains everything that we want our audience to see. Each slide can contain a combination of text, pictures, shapes, videos, and charts. Slide Insertion To insert more slides, we; 1. Click Home Tab Slide Insertion 2. Select the New Slide command Slide Insertion 3. A drop down menu will appear. It will show the different slide layout that we can choose. Click Title and Content. Slide Insertion Basic Parts of a Slide placeholders Placeholders let us insert different things like text, tables, pictures, videos and charts. TITLE SLIDE Use When: Introducing your presentation. Purpose: To display the title of your presentation, subtitle, or your name and date. TITLE AND CONTENT SLIDE Use When: Presenting main points or topics. Purpose: To show a title with a list, image, chart, or other content. SECTION HEADER SLIDE Use When: Starting a new section of your presentation. Purpose: To indicate a transition or break between topics. TWO CONTENT SLIDE Use When: Comparing two pieces of information side-by-side. Purpose: To organize content clearly when discussing differences or similarities. COMPARISON SLIDE Use When: Showing a detailed comparison with titles for each section. Purpose: To present a side-by-side analysis with added clarity. TITLE ONLY SLIDE Use When: to emphasize a single point, such as a quote, a question, or a powerful statement. BLANK SLIDE Use When: You need full control over the slide layout (e.g., designing from scratch). Purpose: To create custom layouts or include large visuals like graphs or photos. CONTENT WITH CAPTION SLIDE Use When: Highlighting a key point with supporting content. Purpose: To present information with focused explanation. PICTURE WITH CAPTION SLIDE Use When: Sharing images with a brief description. Purpose: To emphasize visuals with supporting text. ASSIGNMENT: A.
