# Care Pitch ## Introduction - (3 second pause) Quick question! Have you heard about CARE? (YES/NO) - Awesome! We're a non-profit that advocates for women and children in extreme poverty. - My name is ___. What's Yours? (Trust touch) 2 seconds let me show you why I stopped you! (Turn and burn - super quick I know you're in a rush) ## Qualifying Question #1 - How do you like my office? *pause and allow them to answer* - Is it better than your office? *pause and allow them to answer* - What do you do for work? *pause and allow them to answer* - Awesome! ## Short Story - I don't know if you're aware or not but there are 148 million kids in the world that don't have access to breakfast, lunch, dinner and even clean drinking water. So every 10 seconds a child dies from the lack of basic necessities. ## Presentation - *BUT*... I'm not trying to make you sad or ruin your day because as you know, every problem has a ... SOLUTION! - Exactly! (Trust touch) - We've been around since 1945 providing women, children and communities with access to food, clean water, and medicine through our care packages. And most importantly education because that's one of the biggest ways to close the gap to poverty ## Close 1 - We're out here for two reasons: 1. To raise awareness. 2. To collect small electronic donations. *use fingers* ## Close 2 - So this is my favorite part. You actually get to choose how you make an impact today. - But, I do want to thank you for taking the time to stop and listen because a lot of people don't when it doesn't directly impact their family. - Do you think the effects that poverty and malnutrition can have on a child are something that can be solved overnight or is it an ongoing issue? - Why? - Exactly. - We also look at the mental and physical effects that poverty has and recognize that it's not just about a lack of food and water. That's why we do look for a little ongoing support. - We're doing a buck a day challenge. - Now there are a few ways that you can make an impact. - The first way that people help out is an annual donation. That sends 10 girls to school and provides them with books, uniforms and water tanks. This is how people help out when they want one gift to cover the entire year. - Most people today helped out seasonally because it supports community gardens, water filtration systems, and emergency medicine. This gift is the most popular because it truly promotes self sufficiency. Then our smallest gift provides care packages with basic necessities, hygiene kits, and emergency medicine for expecting mothers. - But it's whichever impact speaks most to your heart... Did you want to help with education, care packages, or community gardens like most people today? - Awesome, this part is for you! Do you want to type in your card or just scan it? - (While inputting card information) I love to ask, what motivates you to help out today? ## Consolidation - I just want to thank you so much on behalf of CARE and the kids. Just remember we will send you updates about Care and how your gift is making an impact. Your next gift comes out (insert frequency) and we're just challenging people to help out for the next 12-24 months because it's crazy what that time can really do for these children. Don't trip on your cape when leave!
