You will not be allowed to write during the first 15 minutes. The intended marks for the questions or parts of questions are given alongside the questions. Section A comprises of Competency Based Questions of one mark each. Section B comprises of Objective Based Questions of one mark each. Section C comprises of Short Answer Questions of two marks each. Section D comprises of Long Answer Questions of three marks each. Attempt all ELEVEN questions. This question paper contains 7 printed pages. SECTION A Q1 Multiple choice questions: I. IV. Bone is a solid, hard porous tissue. It forms the natural skeleton and gives the body its basic structure and supports the body. Its matrix is impregnated with phosphates and carbonates of calcium and magnesium which provides hardness to it. The matrix also contains ossein protein. The matrix is arranged in concentric rings which are called lamellae. Bone cells lie between the lamellae in fluid-filled spaces called lacunae. His friend advised Deepak to use water coolers and save electricity. On this Deepak told, him that the water-cooler is not at all effective in coastal areas.
