# Classifying User Accounts and User Groups (1 of 6) - **Principle of least privilege:** An approach where computer users are assigned the minimum rights required to do their job. - Rights or privileges are established when you first create a user account (when you decide the account type). - Privileges can later be changed by changing the user groups to which the account belongs. - User accounts are created using the User Accounts applet in Control Panel - Or by using the Local Users and Groups utility in the Computer Management console.
