## Installing and Exploring Ubuntu Server (5 of 11) ### Root Account and User Accounts (continued) - Two ways Linux allows for root privileges: - Superuser - principal user account is called the root account - When logged in to the root account, the user is called the superuser - Regular user account with root privileges - A user account that is been assigned root privileges - The command to switch users is **su** - For a user to switch to the root account, use the command **sudo su root**
