ANSCI 43A DAIRY PRODUCTION Practical 1 – Overview of Dairy Production Learning Outcomes Contrast the Philippine dairy production ( cattle, buffaloes and goats) and their production system based on their inventory, supply and demand, import and export values, per capita consumption, prices and other relevant documents; Combine the importance of organic practices of raising dairy and the application of good animal husbandry practices based on the Philippine National Standard for the dairy products (fresh milk specification); and Categorize the current trends of dairy in both local and international arena. Questions: Please follow the questions in the laboratory manual. Dairy production report using PSA website Use the PSA website to easily discuss the trend of production. Applicable for livestock and poultry production. 1. Browse psa.gov.ph 2. Select databases and click OpenSTAT Dairy production report using PSA website 3. Database on Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries will appear with the following reports of different classifications, type of production and year. There are 18 reports available (only select the item you need) Dairy production report using PSA website 5. For example, you want to generate carabao inventory report, just click on the item. For dairy production practical 1, select item#10( cattle inventory…), then only select Cow for the age classification, select total for the farm type and lastly, only select the last five years report. You can select multiple variables then click continue to generate the final report it can be in tabular presentation or graphical illustration. This example is on carabao production.
