Life on the Earth The first form of life appeared For millions of years, our earth was a barren plane t witho ut any life. Gradually, the plant life gave way n the water bodies belonging to the flora world (plant kingdom). The relationship between plant another form of life which is known as fauna (animal kingdom). 0 t is known as Ecosystem. The ingdom, animal kingdom and huma n beings with their enviro nmen Homosapiens. uman beings, who first appeared on the earth's surface, were called life exists. This living zone is As we know, the earth is the only plane t in the solar system where y, plant kingdom and animal nown as biosphere. Biosphere is divided into two kingdoms namel things and non-li ving things ingdom. They live togeth er in compl ete harmony. In this zone, living re their own food with the help re also dependent on each other for their existence. Plants prepa are known as food factories. Plants f non-living things like sunlight, air and water. That is why, they ls also provid e soil nutrie nts (with rovide food for the animals to satisfy their basic needs. Anima heir remains), which are helpfu l for the growt h of plants. they derive all their basic needs Human beings are the most impor tant part of the biosphere as food. It is the only form of life in rom it. Human beings consume both plant food as well as animal own ·needs. he biosphere which has altere d the enviro nmen t according to its THE PLANT KI NGDOM For studying the plant kingdom, we can study differe nt s, egetation belts of the world. Vegetation includes forest rasslands, bushes and shrubs. They vary from place to place in because of the variation in climat ic condit ions. For example, he equatorial region, where the tempe rature and rainfall is high ic hroughout the year, trees are tall and dense. This type of climat condition helps in the growt h of plant and anima l life. On the other is hand, in the desert areas, where tempe rature is high and rainfall less, th e plant and anima l life is limite d. The Vegetation belts of the world can broad ly be divide d ic into various groups on the basis of their locatio n and climat nd co itions. These are Tropical Hardwood Forests, Grasslands, Deserts d an Temperate Softwood Forests.
