Waterfronts DEFINITION According to Oxford American dictionary waterfront is defined as" the part of a town or a city adjoining an water body" While (dong, 2004) defines it as the area where land and water meet, with approximate distance 200- 300m from the water edge to the water side and 1-2Km to the land side. This about 20 mints walking distance. BUFFER It is the area extending outward perpendicularly from the top of the bank of a natural or constructed channel or watercourse. It includes three zones; protection zone (inner zone) , separation zone (middle zone), and transition zone ( outer zone).
