केन्द्रीय माध्यशमक शिक्षा बोर्ड (शिक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के अधीन एक स्वायत्त संगठन) CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (An Autonomous Organisation Under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India) CBSE/SE/JS/MESC/2024 29.10.2024 Circular No. Skill-94/2024 The Heads of all the Institutions affiliated to CBSE Subject: Invitation to participate in ‘Create in India Challenge – Season 1’ for schools in ‘WAVES Young Filmmakers Challenge 2024’ Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India, Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) and Whistling Woods International (WWI) is inviting all Schools to participate in the ‘Create in India Challenge – Season 1’ a key component within the upcoming World Audio-Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) to be held from February 5-9, 2025, in New Delhi. World Audio-Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) is a landmark event for the global media and entertainment industry, aiming to foster innovation, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among industry, leaders, creators and policymakers. As a precursor to WAVES, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting with support from industry associations has launched the ‘Create in India Challenge – Season 1’ featuring 25 meticulously curated competitions. These challenges/ competitions invite participants to demonstrate their creativity and expertise across various domains of the media and entertainment industry. Involvement of students in the CIC Season-1 will be instrumental in furthering the objectives of this initiative and will contribute significantly to their professional growth and the advancement of India’s Media and Entertainment sector. The details of the ‘Create in India Challenge (CIC)’ – Season 1 are as follows: Eligibility: Students from age 12-19 years in two groups – Junior group (12-15 years) & Senior group (16-19 years). Theme: ‘Technology & Humanity’ (or its variations like ‘The Humanity of Technology’ or ‘The Technology of Humanity’) Film Duration: 60 seconds Entry Guidelines: Each participant or team (up to 4 members) can submit up to 3 entries. Technology: Films can be shot using any equipment available (e.g. smartphones. cameras) Creativity is more important than technical sophistication. Submission Participants can submit their film, through a link where the video is uploaded on Guidelines: any online platform with public access including You Tube/ GDrive/ OneDrive / Vimeo, etc. The submission should include the film file, a brief synopsis (50-100 words), and participant information (name, age, contact, details). Judging Criteria: Films will be evaluated based on creativity, appeal, clarity of message, overall impact and jury discretion Please visit the website (https://wavesindia.org/) for more information and registration.
