Understanding the Human Person Human vs. Person A "human" refers to our species, Homo sapiens, under the Mammalia class. Physical Self: The visible, tangible aspects like appearance and body type. Known as “The Who of a Person”—your external self. EMBODIED SPIRIT What is an Embodied Spirit? The human person as an embodied spirit reflects the unity of the body and soul. Your body gives physical form to your spirit, and together, they enable thoughts, actions, and decisions. Embodied spirit is not just a "spirit inside a body"; it’s a complete union where neither can function independently. EMBODIED SPIRIT Embodied Spirit and Actions How It Shapes Us: Thoughts and emotions are expressed through the body. THEY JUST WITNESS THE INDOMITABLE Sensations lead to feelings, which HUMAN SPIRIT influence decisions and actions.
