SHERIFF’S POLICY MANUAL 3.12 LONGEVITY (LUMP-SUM) PAYMENTS: Unrepresented employees will be subject to the following requirements to receive a lump-sum payment: A. Lump-sum payments are contingent upon funding by the Broward County Board of Commissioners and may be temporarily suspended due to budgetary constraints. B. Employees must be on the payroll on the date of the lump-sum payment. C. Employees at the maximum of their pay range for one year will be entitled to receive an annual lump-sum payment of 3% of their base salary on their anniversary date. D. Lump-sum payments will not be part of an employee's base salary. E.
