The bell should not be able to be rotated Carrier and Harness Assembly Operate the latch on the cylinder band to ensure that it opens and closes properly and that it holds the cylinder securely Inspect backplate & power module/pressure reducer are secured Inspect all harness components straps, lumbar pad, hoses, buckles, regulator keeper & chest strap Speaker Module Attached and secure to shoulder strap Inspect for cracks or damage TIC Sensor Not for Zones Comps Clean & Free of Debris Undamaged Control Module Inspect rubber housing for cracks, deterioration Check lens cover Hose assembly is securely attached Regulator (also referred to as Demand Valve) Free of moisture and debris Seals (Orange & grey) Bypass function PAGE 2 POSSIBLE POINTS ACTUAL POINTS Page 2 2024 EKMISA SCBA Page 3 2024 EKMISA SCBA Power Module Inspect power module for damage Inspect LED's on all sides Remove battery with male end of waist belt connection Ensure black O-ring is present on battery Functional Tests Insert Battery, wait for unit to power on, then turn off Check cylinder pressure is full (Above 4000PSI) Open Cylinder valve listen for alarm on up-swing Allow gauges to equalize must be within 5% (225psi) Close tank valve and perform 10 second bleed down (no more than 100psi) Open bypass and ensure low air alarm engages at 3537%% of rated bottle capacity (1575PSI) Alarm functions audibly until 200 PSI or less Allow the control module to remain motionless for approximately 18-20 seconds. A)Listen for the power module to sound repeated tones of the PASS pre-alarm. B)Verify that the buddy lights are flashing red. C)Verify that the red LED is flashing in the HUD. D)Verify White LED illuminates RIC/UAC Connection E) Verify shaking control module does not silence PASS To check the manual activation of the PASS alarm, press and hold the alarm button on the front of the control module until the alarm activates. Regulator and Facepiece Pressure Checks Ensure tank valve is closed and all air purged Don mask Attach regulator to facepiece and ensure negative pressure and hold for 5 seconds Slowly open tank valve and allow system to pressure up Ensure positive pressure by pulling facepiece away from mask Talk into the facepiece to ensure the speaker module is operating properly.
