# FUNCIONES AUXILIARES DE ENFERMERÍA DEL ERA ## FUNCIONES DE LOS AUXILIARES DE ENFERMERÍA Las funciones del Auxiliar de Enfermería vienen recogidas en la sección octava del capítulo séptimo en los artículos 74 al 84, con las prohibiciones referidas en el artículo 85, del Estatuto de Personal Sanitario No Facultativo de la Seguridad Social. Dicho estatuto se plasmó en una Orden del Ministerio de Trabajo de 26 de Abril de 1973. The care, preservation, and restocking of robes, sheets, towels, etc. - The arrangement of gloves and the making of gauze dressings and other materials. - Assist the DUE in the preparation of materials for sterilization. - Collect and clean the instruments employed in surgical interventions, as well as assisting the Qualified Assistant Healthcare Personnel in the organisation of the display cabinets and arsenal. - In general, all those activities that, without having a professional healthcare nature, come to facilitate the duties of the Doctor and the Nurse or Assistant Healthcare Technician. ## FUNCIONES DE LOS AUXILIARES DE ENFERMERÍA EN LOS DEPARTAMENTOS DE RADIO-ELECTROLOG Y ENTRO DE ESTUDIO - Assist the DUE in the care of the sick, including the preparation of radiographic imaging equipment and the development, classification, and distribution of radiographs and the preparation of the electromedical equipment. - In general, all those activities that, without having a professional healthcare nature, come to facilitate the duties of the Doctor and the Nurse or Assistant Healthcare Technician. ## FUNCIONES DE LAS AUXILIARES DE ENFERMERÍA EN LOS DEPARTAMENTOS DE LABORATORY - Perform the cleaning and collaborate with the DUE in the organization of the glassware and materials used in daily work and, in general, all those activities that, without having a professional healthcare nature, come to facilitate the duties of the Doctor and the Nurse or Assistant Healthcare Technician. ## FUNCIONES DE LOS AUXILIARES DE ENFERMERÍA EN EL SERVICIO DE ADMISIÓN - Accompany the patients to the floors and services, as long as they are not transported on stretchers and, in general, they will perform any activities that, without having a professional healthcare nature, come to facilitate the duties of the Doctor and the Nurse or Assistant Healthcare Technician. ## FUNCIONES DE LOS AUXILIARES DE ENFERMERÍA IN THE DEPARTMENT OF OUTPATIENT APPOINTMENTS - Assist the DUE in their duties with regard to those patients who may require hospitalization and, in general, perform all those activities that, without having a professional healthcare nature, come to facilitate the duties of the Doctor and the Nurse or Assistant Healthcare Technician. ## FUNCIONES OF THE AUXILIARIES OF NURSING IN THE SERVICE OF PHARMACY: - Collaborate with the DUE or Assistant Pharmacist in the ordering of preparations and sanitary effects. - Contribute to the transport of preparations and sanitary effects as long as their volume and their weight do not exceed the limits established in the current legislation. - Attend to the other relations of the Pharmacy with the floors of Nursing and Departments and Services of the Institution. - In general, all those activities that, without having a professional healthcare nature, come to facilitate the duties of the Doctor and the Nurse or Assistant Healthcare Technician. ## FUNCIONES DE LOS AUXILIARES DE ENFERMERÍA EN THE REHABILITATION UNIT - The cleaning and hygiene of the patients. - The cleaning and ordering of the material used in the Unit, under the supervision of the DUE. - Assist the aforementioned staff in the placing or fixing of the patient in the special place of their treatment. - Control the static postures of the patients, under the supervision of the DUE. - Undress and dress the patients whenever their treatment requires it. - In general, all those activities that, without having a professional healthcare nature, come to facilitate the duties of the Doctor and the Nurse or Assistant Healthcare Technician. ## FUNCIONES DE LOS AUXILIARES DE ENFERMERÍA IN THE OPEN HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS (Center ott 10) - Collection and personal orientation of the patients. - Reception of invoices and documents for the assistance of the patients. - Distribution of the patients for better organization in the visiting hours. - Writing of logbooks, invoices, receipts, or reports. - Cleaning of display cabinets, materials, and instruments. - Preparation of clothes, bandages, dressings, and dressing materials. - Collection of clinical data, limited exclusively to thermometric data and to those signs obtained by inspection without instruments of the patient, for the collection of which they have received express indication from the Nurses or Assistant Healthcare Technicians, as well as orientation from the responsible Doctor. - Collection of the signs and spontaneous manifestations of the patients regarding their symptoms, limited to communicating them to the Doctor, Nurse or Assistant Healthcare Technician from whom they depend. - In general, all those activities that, without having a professional healthcare nature, come to facilitate the duties of the Doctor and the Nurse or Assistant Healthcare Technician. ## PROHIBITIONS REFERRED TO NURSING ASSISTANTS It is forbidden for Nursing Assistants to perform the following tasks: - Administration of medication by parenteral routes. - Scarifications, punctures or any other diagnostic or preventive technique. - The application of curative treatments of a non-medicinal nature. - The administration of medicinal substances or specific substances when this requires instrumental or careful maneuvers. - Assist medical staff in surgical interventions. - Assist the doctor directly in outpatient appointments. - In general, perform duties within the competence of Qualified Assistant Healthcare Personnel.
