SHERIFF’S POLICY MANUAL 18.3 INJUNCTION ORDER WITH RETURN OF SERVICE ATTACHED: A. Domestic Violence Control deputies will distribute Domestic Violence Injunction Orders with an attached Return of Service form (BSO C#1) to district supervisors during Bravo and Charlie shifts. B. Domestic Violence Control deputies will log all orders distributed to each district onto Civil's Injunction Tracking Sheet (BSO C#59). C. Each district supervisor will sign the completed tracking sheet to verify orders received are the same orders listed on the Injunction Tracking Sheet. D. On a priority basis, district supervisors will assign deputies to serve the order located in their zone. Zone deputies will serve orders in their assigned zone. E. Deputies will immediately telephone Civil or Records to confirm when the order was served. F. When deputies serve orders, they will detach and complete the Return of Service form. Deputies will complete the "Comments By Deputy" section of the Return of Service form to include the following information: 1. Date and time served. 2. Any comments relating to serving the order. 3. Name and CCN of Civil or Records employee telephoned, confirming order was served. 4. Signature in section marked "By". G. Event Reports/Short Event Reports are not required if an Injunction Order is served or attempted to be served and Return of Service form is completed. When the Return of Service form is completed, the form will be returned to the district supervisor before the end of the serving deputy's shift. H. If deputies try, but do not serve the order, they will complete the "Comments By Deputy" section of Return of Service form with the following: Reviewed: New Issued: 01/09/2019 Rescinds: N/A Effective: 01/09/2019 18.3 Page 1 of 2 SHERIFF’S POLICY MANUAL 1. Date and time attempted. 2. Reasons order was not served. 3. Initials next to reasons. I. When completed, the Return of Service form will be returned to the district supervisor before the end of the serving deputy's shift. J. All orders distributed to districts will be collected by Domestic Violence Control deputies before the end of each shift.
