Study Notes

Setting Up XLOC

XLOC is a computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool for editing game text.
Credentials are available in Project Info or provided by the lead.
Use the right credentials for the assigned language to avoid lockout.

Logging in XLOC

Enter correct credentials to avoid lockout.
Entering incorrect credentials 3 times or more will lock out all users.
If you fail twice, stop trying and double-check your account with the lead.

Finding Your Project

Select User Profile at the top of the screen.
Choose your project from the dropdown and select Change.
If unsure, ask the lead or check Project Info.

Searching through Strings

Select the first tab on the left, "Strings".
Use the Search bar to locate a String ID, source, or translation.
Narrow your search by selecting from the dropdown above the search bar.
