    Study Notes

    Setting Up XLOC

    • XLOC is a computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool for editing game text.
    • Credentials are available in Project Info or provided by the lead.
    • Use the right credentials for the assigned language to avoid lockout.

    Logging in XLOC

    • Enter correct credentials to avoid lockout.
    • Entering incorrect credentials 3 times or more will lock out all users.
    • If you fail twice, stop trying and double-check your account with the lead.

    Finding Your Project

    • Select User Profile at the top of the screen.
    • Choose your project from the dropdown and select Change.
    • If unsure, ask the lead or check Project Info.

    Searching through Strings

    • Select the first tab on the left, "Strings".
    • Use the Search bar to locate a String ID, source, or translation.
    • Narrow your search by selecting from the dropdown above the search bar.
