Order Fulfillment Process

Orders are assigned to users and pick instructions are printed from the released sales order list in NAV.
Products are pulled from the warehouse based on the bin code on the pick instruction.

Verifying Products

Verify the item number, lot number, unit of measure, and quantity to ship against the pick instruction.
Check for any damage or leakage in the pulled products and notify the logistics manager if necessary.

Shipping Conditions

Products are shipped under three conditions: ambient, refrigerated (2-8C), or frozen (-20 to -80C).
Note that ice packs are only used with microbiological plates.

Packing Procedures

Choose an appropriate box size for the item and packing materials.
Pack the item securely with packing material to minimize movement during shipping.
Securely tape the box on the bottom.

Add dry ice to fill the box and cover the item.
Record the weight of the dry ice on the UN1845 label.
Ship dry ice items via FedEx priority overnight "PRION" or FedEx first overnight "1STOVERN" or UPS NEXT DAY AIR "NXT DAY".
