Volleyball Court

A volleyball court is rectangular, measuring 18 by 9 meters, surrounded by a free zone of at least 3 meters wide on all sides.
The court has lines that serve as boundaries, measured 5 cm wide, in a light color.

Court Lines

Boundary lines: two sidelines and two end lines mark the playing court.
Center line: divides the court into two equal halves, running under the net.
Attack line: marks the front zone, 3 meters back from the axis of the center line.

Zones and Areas

Front zone: 3 meters from the center line.
Back zone: 6 meters from the attack line to the end line.
Service zone: 9 meters wide behind each end line, outside the playing court.
Substitution zone: 1.75 meters from the sideline of each front zone.
Libero replacement zone: the free zone beside the subzone, on the side of each team bench.
Warm-up area: 3 by 3 meters, located at the end of the free zone.
Penalty area: 1 by 1 meter, located at the back of each team bench, with a spherical or round form.

Volleyball

A volleyball has 18 rectangular panels, made of synthetic or genuine leather, arranged in six identical sections.
Diameter: 20.7-21.3 cm, circumference: 65-67 cm, weight: 260-280 g.
Pressure: 4.26-4.61 psi (pounds per square inch).

Volleyball Net

The net is 1 meter wide, 9.50 to 10 meters long, with 25 to 50 cm on each side of the side bands.
Made of 10 cm square black mesh, with a height of:
- 2.43 meters for men
- 2.24 meters for women
The net has a horizontal band at the top and bottom, made of white canvas.
