Push Rod Specifications

Roll Hoops Safety Structure

Main Roll Hoop

Front Roll Hoop

• Constructed from closed section metal tubing.
• Similar extending requirement as the main roll hoop.
• Can be made from multiple pieces if properly gusseted or triangulated.
• Must be no lower than the top of the steering wheel, regardless of its position.
• Should not extend more than 250 mm forward of the steering wheel, measured horizontally.

Brake System Regulations

Brake Over-Travel Switch

• A brake pedal over-travel switch is required as part of the shutdown system.
• Must be wired in series with the shutdown buttons.
• If the brake system fails and the pedal over-travels, the system shuts down.
• The switch must be a single point, single throw type, and cannot be reset by the driver.

Brake Light Requirements

• Red brake lights must be at least 5 inches long and 3 inches wide.
• Must be visible from the rear in bright sunlight and remain functional even when the vehicle is off.
• Brake lights should glow continuously when brakes are applied.

Brake Light Positioning

• The center height of the brake light must be a minimum of 13.7 inches from the ground.

Suspension Standards

• Full suspension systems with shock absorbers are mandatory for all wheels.
• Visible suspension mounting points must be available for inspection.
• Wishbone/A-Arm must be seamless tubing.
• Suspension system requires a minimum travel of 4 inches (2 inches jounce and 2 inches rebound).

• Synthetic materials that melt when exposed to heat are prohibited for undergarments.

Equipment Validity

• Teams must ensure all driver safety equipment is current, with clear manufacturing dates visible.
• Damaged or expired equipment is not allowed.

• Wiring and harnesses must not obstruct the driver's movement and should be covered adequately.
