Procedures for Apparatus Maintenance

Maintenance requests must be recorded in AssetWorks during Fleet Maintenance's normal hours (0700 to 1800, Monday to Friday).
After-hours vehicle maintenance requests are directed through Communication Center to reach an On Call Technician.
Vehicles with mechanical failures as per NFPA 1911 must be put out of service and reported immediately to Battalion Chiefs.
In case of on-route failures, vehicles should be safely stopped and shut off to prevent damage.

Examination and Repair Process

Shop Foreman or Road Technician evaluates out-of-service vehicles for immediate repair or replacement.
