- Origin: Long head (infraglenoid tubercle), Lateral head (proximal 1/2 of posterior shaft), Medial head (distal 1/2 of posterior shaft)
- Insertion: Olecranon process of ulna

- Function: Extension of arm at the shoulder joint (long head), forearm (elbow), and horizontal abduction of arm
