    Mayday Quick Reference Sheet

    • Acknowledge the Mayday by confirming the location, identity of the firefighter, problem, and crew status
    • Order radio silence and request Toronto Fire to announce the Mayday
    • Assign RIT and request additional personnel to establish a new RIT and hit Bnechmarks

    RIT Deployment

    • Utilize crews in the vicinity to locate and assist the distressed firefighter
    • Brief and deploy the RIT, and request additional personnel to quickly establish a new RIT
    • Use radio silence protocol or Channel 16 if necessary
    • Ensure one DVRS is activated on Channel 16

    Radio Communication

    • IC (or Entry Control) conducts partial/full PAR on Channel 16
