    • SSE/P.Way (In-charge) to inspect at least once each welding team in a month.
    • JE/SSE/P.Way (Sectional) to inspect as per schedule.

    USFD Test Check

    • Conduct monthly USFD test check for at least two hours during regular trolley inspection by SSE/P.Way (In-charge).

    Night Inspection

    • Conduct night inspection once a month by SSE/P.Way (In-charge).

    Monsoon Patrolling

    • SSE/P.Way (In-charge) to patrol once a month, and JE/SSE/P.Way (Sectional) to patrol once a fortnight by train and trolley inspection.

    Hot Weather Patrolling

    • SSE/P.Way (In-charge) to patrol once a month, preferably between 12:00 to 16:00 hrs, by train, push trolley, or motor trolley.

    Night Foot Plate Inspection

    • Conduct night foot plate inspection once a month by SSE/P.Way (In-charge) and JE/SSE/P.Way (Sectional).

    Responsibilities of JE/SSE/P.Way

    • Be responsible for temporary storage and timely arrangement and transportation of HSD oil.
    • Arrange lighting during night working.
    • Ensure transportation of tamping tools for reconditioning and returning reconditioned tools.
    • Protect the site of work and adjoining track.
    • Arrange precautionary measures for safety at site.
    • Arrange track protection and provide lookout men for safety.
    • Ensure machine stabling in suitable sidings and minimal idle run.
    • Arrange for protecting and watching of stabled machines.
    • Co-ordinate with other departments for smooth working.
    • Take action to clear block sections expeditiously in case of machine breakdown.

    Inspection Schedules of JE/SSE/P.Way (Other than In-charge or Sectional)

    • Foot inspection: complete section once in a month, and other than passenger running lines once in three months.
    • Note down irregularities like missing/ineffective fittings, greasing of ERC, turnouts, SEJs, and glued joints.
    • Observe packing condition under running train and note down bad patches requiring attention.
    • Recoup missing ERCs, liners, keys, and other fittings.
    • Carry out rail end examination and lubrication of fish plated joints.

    Keyman's Responsibilities

    • Carry out daily inspection of track.
    • Note down irregularities like missing/ineffective fittings, greasing of ERC, turnouts, SEJs, and glued joints.
    • Recoup missing ERCs, liners, keys, and other fittings.
    • Carry out rail end examination and lubrication of fish plated joints.
    • Imposed caution after stopping the train or otherwise, wherever required for safety.
    • Perform additional duties in LWR/CWR territories, including periodical oiling and greasing of SEJ, tightening of loose fittings, and watching for sun kinks, loose or missing fastenings.
