- UCEED 2025 exam lasts for 3 hours.
- The question paper has two parts: Part A, with a duration of 2 hours, and Part B, lasting 1 hour which begins after Part A.
- Part A has three compulsory sections with different types of questions with a total of 57 questions carrying 200 marks.
- Part A appears on the computer for the first 2 hours, with answers to be entered within this time.
- Part B is also compulsory and consists of 2 drawing questions, each worth 50 marks.
- Questions for Part B will appear on the computer after 2 hours and answers are to be written in an answer book provided by the invigilator.
Marking Scheme for Part A
- Section 1 has Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions: 14 questions worth 4 marks each, totaling 56 marks with no negative marking
- Section 2 has Multiple Select Questions (MSQ): 15 questions with partial marking, totaling 60 marks
- Section 3 has Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): 28 questions worth a total of 84 marks
Section 1: Numerical Answer Type (NAT)
- Section 1 consists of 14 questions
- Each question is worth 4 marks
- No negative marking
Section 2: Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)
- Each MSQ has one or more correct choices selected from four options.
- Full Marks (+4): Awarded if all correct options are chosen and no incorrect options are chosen.
- Partial Marks (+3): Awarded if all four options are correct, but only three options are chosen and no incorrect options are chosen.
- Partial Marks (+2): Awarded if three or more options are correct, but only two options are chosen, both of which are correct, and no incorrect options are chosen.
- Partial Marks (+1): Awarded if two or more options are correct, but only one option is chosen and it is a correct option, and no incorrect options are chosen.
- Zero Marks (0): Assigned if none of the options is chosen, the question is unanswered.
- Negative Marks (-1): Assigned in all other cases.
Section 3: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Section 3 has 28 questions
- Each question is worth 3 marks for the correct answer
- Each question has a negative mark of -0.71 for incorrect answers
- Questions not attempted receive zero marks.
