Types of Abuse
- Economic Abuse: making a woman financially dependent
- Sexual Violence: acts of a sexual nature, including rape, sexual harassment, and making demeaning remarks
Intimate Partner Violence
- A pattern of assaultive and coercive behavior that may include physical injury, psychological abuse, sexual assault, stalking, deprivation, intimidation, and reproductive coercion
Child Abuse
- Any recent act or failure to act that results in death, serious physical or emotional harm, sexual abuse or exploitation
- Types of Child Abuse:
- Physical

- Neglect
Elderly Mistreatment
- Includes neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, financial abuse, psychological abuse, exploitation, abandonment, or prejudicial attitudes that decrease quality of life and are demeaning to those over 65 years old

Types of Family Violence
- Physical: involves the use of force, often causing injury or pain

- Financial: involves using economic resources to exploit or manipulate another person
