Animals have diverse ways of obtaining energy and nutrients, primarily through what they eat. Herbivores

Herbivores are primarily plant eaters. They consume vegetation, including grasses, leaves, fruits, seeds, roots, stems, bark, or fungi. Herbivores usually have specialized digestive systems that allow them to break down plant cell walls and extract nutrition efficiently.

Carnivores

Carnivores feed primarily on meat or animal flesh. Their diets consist of other animals, providing high protein and fat content. Some carnivorous animals include lions, tigers, bears, wolves, foxes, sharks, eagles, crocodiles, and snakes. Carnivores have developed sharp teeth and claws, as well as strong digestive systems, to efficiently consume and break down animal flesh.

Omnivores

Omnivores have diets that consist of both plant and animal material. Their dietary requirements include a balance of macronutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates), micronutrients, vitamins, and minerals from various sources. Humans, pigs, bears, raccoons, opossums, minks, skunks, rats, squirrels, and rodents are examples of omnivorous animals. Frugivores

Frugivores primarily eat fruit. Many fruits contain seeds, which can provide essential nutrients like proteins and lipids. Examples of frugivorous animals include bats, birds, monkeys, lemurs, and some marsupials. Frugivores can contribute to pollination and seed dispersal in ecosystems, helping the plants thrive.
