Tourism Circuits
- The state government is developing tourism circuits with the goal of showcasing key historical and cultural sites.
- These circuits include the Ramappa/Rudreshwara Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Tribal Circuit, and a Heritage Circuit.
- Funding from the Swadesh Darshan Scheme is being used to develop infrastructure such as a Tourism Facilitation Center, parking facilities, solar lighting, log huts, cafeterias, watchtowers, and eco-trails.
Eco-Tourism Circuits
- The Telangana government has established a consultative committee to develop eco-tourism circuits within the state.
- The goal is to promote Telangana as a leading eco-tourism destination by capitalizing on its diverse natural landscapes and rich biodiversity.
- Existing eco-tourism destinations include Ananthagiri, Kanakagiri, Nandipet, and the Kagaznagar Tiger Corridor. Tourists can participate in trekking, boating, safaris, bird watching, camping, and landscape gazing.
- The development of guest houses and resorts is planned for selected destinations.
Pilgrimages
- Telangana offers numerous significant pilgrimage sites for visitors.
- These include the Yadagirigutta temple (dedicated to Narasimha Swamy), the Saraswati Temple at Basara, and the Rajarajeshwara Swamy Temple at Vemulawada.
- The Jogulamba Temple at Alampur, a Shakti Peetha, attracts a large number of devotees.
Heritage Walks and Beautification Efforts
- The Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) has organized heritage walks in Hyderabad, with plans to expand to other cultural sites across the state.
