TEFL Course Semester 5 Overview

The aims of the TEFL course are to enhance students' understanding of theories of Language Acquisition & Learning, increase their awareness of basic concepts and principles related to learning and teaching English, provide students with a brief, critical survey of the main ELT approaches and methods, and expose students to various techniques of English language teaching.

The intended learning outcomes of the TEFL course are for students to demonstrate a clear understanding of basic ELT terminology, an understanding of the basic theoretical background behind teaching and learning languages, and a critical understanding of basic practical approaches and techniques involved in teaching EFL.
