Responsibilities

- The TFD Deputy Chief of Administration or designee ensures all TFD personnel, including administrative and Information Services staff, rehires, and employees returning from extended leave, receive timely workplace safety orientation.
- TFD company officers are responsible for covering all information on the Safety Orientation Checklist with probationary employees; this checklist is included in the new assignment syllabus.
- Upon completion, the company officer confirms review of the checklist and the employee's ability to perform assigned duties safely by signing and dating the checklist.
- The employee also signs and dates the form.

- Department Safety Program: Explanation of the Department Occupational Health and Safety Program, Function and members of the Safety Committee
