System Analysis process activities:
- Prepare for system analysis: establish strategy/approach, identify situation, stakeholders, scope, objectives, and level of fidelity. Choose analysis methods based on relevant drivers.
- Plan for necessary enabling systems or services.
- Ensure enabling system or service access and validity of assumptions.
- Ensure timely and trustworthy data and inputs.
- Establish criteria for trustworthiness of data.
- Review data and inputs for quality and validity.
Perform system analysis: execute analysis using selected methods, perform uncertainty and sensitivity analysis, perform quality and validity check, interpret results, and capture results in a report.
Manage system analysis: establish and sustain traceability, give CM needed information items, work products, or other artifacts.
Model limitations: models can't simulate all system behavior, parameters and data inputs must be part of the operation field, models evolve during the project, results are given in modeling context.
