Sharers and Their Respective Shares
- Father: 1/6 (when there is a child), ½ (when no child or child of a son), ¼ (when no child or child of a son, and not more than one brother or sister)
- True Grandfather: ½ (when no child or child of a son)
- Husband: ¼
- Wife: 1/8
- Mother: 1/6 (when no father), 1/8 (when father is present)
- True Grandmother: 1/6 (when no mother, and no nearer true grandmother either paternal or maternal)
- Full Sister: ½ (when no brother), 1/6 (when there is a brother)
- Consanguine Sister: 1/6 (when no full sister)
- Daughters: inherit the remaining property after the Sharers have taken their shares
Conditions for Inheritance
- Father inherits as a residuary when there is no child or child of a son, and no true grandfather
- Mother inherits as a residuary when there is no father, and no true grandmother
- True Grandfather inherits as a residuary when there is no child or child of a son, and no father
