SSC CGL Overview

The Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) is a competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) every year. Syllabus

Statistics

General knowledge and general intelligence questions are designed to test your awareness of current events, history, geography, and general science. Intelligence questions may involve logical reasoning, analogies, and decision-making.

Selection Process

The SSC CGL selection process is a three-tier system:

1. Tier I: Objective type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a duration of 1 hour. It's a computer-based test held in multiple sessions across the country.

2. Tier II: Descriptive type questions. This exam is a pen-paper test, and the duration is 2 hours.

3. Tier III: It is a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) to evaluate your typing speed and accuracy on the computer. This test is compulsory for all candidates who have opted for the post of Section Officer Grade-III and other posts in the Ministry of External Affairs and other posts in various non-ministerial or ministerial departments.

Preparation Tips
