- In both Spanish and English, the object of a preposition can be a noun or pronoun that follows the preposition.
Spanish Pronouns
- me translates to mí.
- you (fam.) translates to ti.
- you (formal singular) translates to usted.
- him translates to él.
- her translates to ella.
- us translates to nosotros/as.
- you (formal plural) translates to ustedes.
- them (masculine) translates to ellos.
- them (feminine) translates to ellas.
- Except for mí and ti, pronunciation remains the same as subject pronouns.
Important Notes
- Mí has an accent mark to differentiate it from the possessive adjective mi (my).
