- STAP 1: BIOGRAPHY: individual life trajectory (youth movements, choice of education...)
- STAP 2: SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT: individual life trajectory is linked here (parents pay for studies,...)
- STAP 3: HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT: social environment is the result of this (industrialization, young people moving together, etc.)
- Discussion on behavior and society: objective observable components (speech, gestures, bodily movements) and subjective observable components (motivation, self-esteem, mastery, sexual desire, emotional components, cognitive components, reflective components)
- Social action: acting with intention to achieve a specific goal in a given situation
- Social action typology by Max Weber: instrumental rational action, value rational action, affective action, and traditional action
