Optimal Titration
- Optimal titration is achieved when the Respiratory Disturbance Index (RDI) is less than 5 per hour for at least 15 minutes at the selected pressure.
- This pressure must be within the manufacturer’s acceptable leak limit.
- Optimal titration also requires SpO2 to be above 90% at the selected pressure.
- Additionally, supine REM sleep at the selected pressure should not be continually interrupted by spontaneous arousals or awakenings.
Good Titration
- Good titration is achieved when the Respiratory Disturbance Index (RDI) is less than 10 per hour.
- Alternatively, good titration is also achieved when the RDI is reduced by 50% from the baseline RDI.
