  • Shooting a qualifying score of at least 70% on the D.P.S. qualification course.

Instruction

  • The D.P.S. shotgun qualification course consists of four mandatory stages of fire utilizing "00" buckshot.

  • Shot holes within the silhouette and those breaking the outline will be scored as hits.
  • Holes caused by the wadding will not be scored.

Scoring

  • The shooter's score will be determined by dividing total score hits by total possible.
  • If firing 9-shot 00-buck, the total possible would be 90 hits.
  • If firing the slug stages, the total possible would be 100 hits (90 00-buck + 10 slugs).
  • Shots fired from an incorrect position or after time has expired will be scored as a miss.
  • The maximum points possible from the missed shot will be deducted from the shooter's final score.
