Vehicle Care and Equipment

  • Employees with assigned vehicles are responsible for general maintenance, proper care, and daily checks (fuel, oil, water, and battery) to ensure proper functioning.
  • BSO supplies fuel, oil, lubricants, and other additives for use in BSO vehicles, and use of other similar products is prohibited.
  • Employees are prohibited from:
    • Connecting electronic gear to a BSO vehicle's electrical system without written permission.
    • Modifying a BSO vehicle's computer chips.
    • Removing, replacing, or obscuring assigned BSO-issued license plates.
  • Employees are responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of assigned vehicles, which must be kept clean at all times.
  • Flat tires will be changed by a towing service under BSO contract, except in an emergency with supervisor approval.

Inspection

  • Supervisors are responsible for inspecting their employees' vehicles at least once a month for cleanliness, performance, and equipment.
  • Vehicle inspections will be documented on the applicable vehicle inspection form.

Vehicle Maintenance

  • Vehicles will be maintained as directed by BSO Fleet Division.

Disabled Vehicle

Vehicle Equipment

    • One fingerprint kit
