Sexual Harassment
- Unwelcomed sexual, offensive, humiliating, or intimidating behavior that can take many forms, including written, verbal, or physical conduct.
- Can occur in person or online.
Types of Sexual Harassment
- Quid Pro Quo Harassment: When a school employee conditions a student's participation in a school program or activity, or bases academic grades on the student's submission to unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal, non-verbal, or physical conduct of a sexual nature.
Hostile-Environment Harassment
- Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal, non-verbal, or physical conduct of a sexual nature by an employee, another student, or a third party.
- Requires that the harassing behavior be sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive to limit a student's ability.
Effects of Sexual Harassment
