Delivery Document Transfer to EWM

• Delivery documents serve as references for EWM to process goods receipts and shipping.
• Transfer occurs either manually using Transaction VL06 or immediately after creation in SAP S/4HANA.
• Automatic transfer requires the plant and storage locations to be managed by EWM.

Transaction /SCWM/MAT1

• Transaction /SCWM/MAT1 is used to enter warehouse-specific data in the product master.
• You must enter the EWM warehouse number here.
• You must also specify the party entitled to dispose.

Delivery Document Field Control

• Field control profile determines which fields on a delivery document can be displayed or changed.
• The status profile reflects the status of a document.
• Quantity offsetting manages quantity calculations.
• Text management profile handles texts on a delivery document.

• Base unit of measure (UoM) is necessary in product master data.
• Product properties such as weight and volume must also be included.

Mapping EWM to SAP S/4HANA Warehouse

• Mapping an EWM warehouse to an SAP S/4HANA warehouse involves the business system.
• The warehouse number also plays a role in the mapping.
• It is possible to assign multiple SAP S/4HANA warehouse numbers to each EWM warehouse number.
• A business system is needed to create a rule for an exceptional case, such as mapping an SAP S/4HANA warehouse number to a different EWM warehouse number, based on the business system the data arrives from.

Integration Model Identification

• The integration model in SAP S/4HANA is identified by the model name.
• Application is an identifying factor.
• Target system must be specified.
• The integration model controls the transfer of master and transactional data from SAP S/4HANA to EWM.

EWM Master Data Elements

• Packaging specification is an element of EWM master data.

Mapping Date/Time Types

Data Transfer Methods from SAP S/4HANA to EWM

EWM Warehouse Organizational Code

• In EWM, a warehouse complex is mapped as a warehouse number, which you can use to identify the warehouse complex, it is a 4-digit code.

• Each storage type is configured with storage type roles, such as standard storage type

Storage Bin Character Limit

• The maximum length of the storage bin name is 18 alphanumeric characters
• They are created with Transaction /SCWM/LS01

Data Transferred from SAP S/4HANA to EWM

• Material master

• Outbound delivery
• Master data transferred includes; material master, vendor master, customer master
• Transaction data transferred from SAP S/4HANA includes; inbound delivery document and the outbound delivery document.

Assigning Storage Bins to an Activity Area

• Based on aisle, stack, and level
• Storage bins can be assigned activity areas by aisle, stack, and level. Aisles, stacks, and levels are maintained in storage bin master data.

Storage Type Division

• Storage section
• You can maintain a separate storage type or a separate storage section for storing hazardous products. In the section you must maintain a separate storage section indicator to direct the products to this section for putaway.

Transaction-Related Data Transfer to EWM

• The transfer of transaction-related data is performed via BAPIs/qRFCs
• Master data was transferred from SAP S/4HANA to EWM using the SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization core interface before SAP S/4HANA 1909 FSP02. Now, this data is transferred in reduced messages by IDocs.

SCU Organizational Unit Assignment

• An SCU is assigned to the warehouse number in EWM
• SCUs are assigned to EWM warehouses.

RF Mobile Processing Options

• Select the HU form the source to be processed
• To use partially system-guided processing, each warehouse order must contain only one warehouse task/HU.
• In this case, you can only use the source bin and the input field for the HU. If the warehouse order contains more than one HU, processing leads to an error in the RF dialog.

System-Guided Processing

• When you scan a warehouse order, the system checks if a queue has been set to partially system-guided processing
• After scanning the HU, the system checks whether an open warehouse task exists for the HU. If so, the system sets the session to semi-system guided. The user verifies the source storage bin only and then scans the HU to fill the empty field.

System-Guided Processing in EWM

• The warehouse task is locked. Using system-guided processing, the system shows you various data, such as HU, product, quantity, batch, etc.
• Whereas in semi-systemguided processing, you’ll be selecting an HU from a source bin, and thus, you do not know which HU will be selected. So, the warehouse task is not locked.
